Daniel Slone

Chief Finanicial Officer

Daniel Slone has served as chief financial officer of Vibe Restaurant Group since December 2014. In that role he oversees all aspects of the organization’s accounting and financial compliance and reporting. He also has primary responsibility for financial analysis, the financial components of strategic decision-making, and financial evaluation of potential acquisitions and divestitures.

He has been a member of executive management for various organizations since 2000. He previously served as financial controller for a Louisiana-based restaurant group that operated about 80 units in the KFC, Taco Bell, Long John Silver’s, Popeye’s, and Hardee’s brands, and as chief financial officer for the group’s publicly-traded entity ARC Group, Inc., franchisor of the Dick’s Wings & Grill casual dining concept. Prior experience includes director of operations for a private corrections company and work on both the franchisor and franchisee sides of a national service franchise, first as vice president and director of franchise operations for the franchisor and then as chief financial officer for the brand’s largest franchisee. His early work experience included unit-level management in both the restaurant and retail sectors. He has extensive experience in multi-state operations, complex organizational structures, and purchases and sales of existing business operations, particularly in the restaurant space. He holds the bachelor of arts and master of business administration degrees.

Daniel also has over 20 years of service as an infantry soldier in the Army National Guard and currently serves as a cavalry unit first sergeant in the 256th Infantry Brigade Combat Team of the Louisiana Army National Guard. His military experience includes two combat deployments to Iraq and training missions in Belize, Thailand, and Germany. His awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal, multiple awards of the Army Achievement Medal, and the Combat Infantryman Badge. He is also a Centurion of the Order of St. Maurice of the National Infantry Association and was the 256th Infantry Brigade Noncommissioned Officer of the Year in 2005.

He is married with three children and welcomed his first grandchild in December 2016. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, gardening, and competitive shooting. He is also widely published as a freelance writer.
