This convention happens every two years and brings together all our corporate and franchise locations to celebrate operational excellence. To participate, restaurants must have been open for at least one year, and this year, we’re excited to announce that Whataburger-Vibe tied for the prestigious Spirit Stick, proudly taking home the 2024 award!

Throughout the day, teams displayed remarkable spirit and energy, competing to win the Spirit Stick, which recognizes the team that best embodies enthusiasm and camaraderie. Our unique vibe and teamwork, embodied by our slogan “We Win As a Team”, were evident as we came together to achieve this significant milestone.
This year’s event also held special meaning as we celebrated the retirement of Ed Nelson, Whataburger’s President.

Ed has been an inspiring leader, and his contributions have left a lasting impact on the company. We also welcomed Debbie Stroud, who will take over as President in January 2025. This change marks an exciting new chapter for Whataburger, and Vibe, and we are eager to see where Debbie’s leadership will take us.
The day was further enriched by the presence of our Operations, Marketing, and Whataburger-Vibe training teams, who celebrated alongside Vibe’s founder Faisal Lalani, COO Michael Trifari, and Vice President of Training and Development, Mike McDonald. Together, we reflected on our journey, celebrated our successes, and looked ahead to the future new experiences waiting for us.
